The ICT World Always Knew: Data Breaches, Hackers and the Cybersecurity Crisis of 2026

"Think your private data is really safe? The ShinyHunters breach at Odido just exposed millions of records, and it's only the latest proof that no ICT system has ever been 100% secure, not even in today's age of AI. From GDPR loopholes to 'safe' digital payments, the real risks are closer than any government admits. Read the full article now."

The ICT World Always Knew: Data Breaches, Hackers and the Cybersecurity Crisis of 2026

You are right that you are also afraid of your private data every day when you have touched the keys of your computer keyboard! After all, every day there are reports in the news about what certain hackers have done. Many institutions, and private individuals, have unfortunately already become acquainted with these often-fearless people. They take your computer hostage and often threaten to make all your private data public.

ShinyHunters Strikes Again: Inside the Odido Data Breach and the Ransomware Gangs Holding Your Data Hostage

Not so long ago, this hacker group the Shiny Hunters hacked the network of the ICT and telephone company Odido and hijacked a lot of data from their subscribers. Imagine that your address details end up on the street, or even worse your bank, or medical data. Imagine all this data becoming available in the hands of malicious individuals. Then the government in many countries can wipe their buttocks with all the privacy legislation they have come up with in recent years. It was supposed to protect the so-called innocent citizen, you and me. But probably almost every government institution and or ministry in the world has grossly mistaken the integrity and therefore reliability of ICT systems.

No ICT System Is 100% Secure — Not Even in the Age of AI

I dare to say that an ICT system, just like all other systems on our planet, has never been 100% reliable. There are still human hands and eyes involved in programming, installing, reading the data entered by you and me. And do you know exactly how many human hands your data available on the internet passes through every day? Do you know that Shiny Hunters are also involved in death threats? You will probably understand that it is very convenient for government institutions, banks and large companies to process everything via their ICT solutions, but what else happens to our data? Yes, laws have also been made to prohibit them from using the data for purposes other than those for which they were originally intended, but do you really think that after three months a living rooster will still crow about that?

Data Retention, Privacy Laws and the GDPR Illusion Something like that, reasons for use, and retention periods? Have you ever checked the computer of one of your suppliers (your baker?) to see if your data has actually been deleted after one year, the legal retention period? Or were you also approached after a year and a half by the Drop shipping company www.betermode.nl to buy their bad products from China, which later turned out to be a nephew of your baker. Don’t you also believe that there is still a lively trade in Internet addresses? Maybe they are not paid for, but they are certainly “passed on”. Just look at the amount of spam you are likely to receive every day. The governments are far from having the internet and the ICT market under control, and I don’t think they will ever get it under control.

Digital Payments Aren’t Safe: Identity Theft, Fraud and the Myth of Secure Online Transactions

The government and the banks are sending you and me further and further into electronic payment transactions or electronic data exchange, but in their own interest do not tell us that this is life-threatening. Think of the dangers you would face to Christ in the 18th century, are they different from today’s? They probably have different names, and look more charming in today’s world, but are only more dangerous in my eyes. Suppose you lose your passport or your ID, or just your credit card, and you can’t prove who you really are? Know that we are completely at the mercy of a system that is not ours. The highwaymen are still there. Just look, does your government protect you from drop shipping, no? Are you and your private data protected from hackers, no?

Cybercriminals Without Borders: Why Governments Still Can’t Stop Today’s Digital Highwaymen

So, I am right that the ICT world and many governments have made our lives many times more dangerous and cannot protect us at all as they claim almost daily. So just like in the 18th century, we are still a prey for highwaymen, although they now have a different name. Thanks to our governments, these people can still appear out of nowhere in front of our noses, and we have no defence and are not protected by our governments. All you have to do is open your newspaper every day, and you will read what is going wrong in the field of ICT. Unfortunately, recognizing, seeing and knowing is no longer enough for us as good citizens, because we all think: “nothing will happen to us, because we have protection from our government,” and “we are safe from the possible arrival of the new “Big 3” (USSR, USA and China) So who does what to us as good citizens?
